Broad Ripple Village Anticipates Successful
Budweiser True Music TASTE OF BROAD RIPPLE
1st Annual Event to feature the best of Broad Ripple's flavor in taste, sights and sounds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 2, 2003) The Broad Ripple Village Association, along with Emmis Communications and Exclamation Point Events, proudly present the First Annual Budweiser True Music TASTE OF BROAD RIPPLE, Saturday, June 7, 2003.
This fun-filled event will feature Broad Ripple's finest cuisine, as well as live entertainment for all ages.
The Budweiser True Music TASTE OF BROAD RIPPLE will offer a diverse mix of area restaurants, shops, live music, food and beverage that will exemplify the eclectic feel that is unique to Broad Ripple.
Proceeds will raise money for the continuing effort to improve and promote the Broad Ripple community of over 35,000 residents.
We look forward to an exciting event and anticipate community support will allow the Taste to become a Broad Ripple tradition for years to come, said Scott Bates, BRVA Director.
Broad Ripple is a natural venue for an event of this nature, and we are thrilled to participate in the Taste, said Ed Cheikh, owner of Broad Ripple Steakhouse.
The event will take place from 3pm - 10pm at the intersection of Guilford & Westfield Boulevard in Broad Ripple.
Participating restaurants include Tavola di ToSa, Jazz Cooker, Uncle Artie's BarBQ, Red Room, Mama Carolla's/Papa Murphy's, Jazz Kitchen, Broad Ripple Steakhouse, Applebee's, Yat's, Chumley's, Plump's Last Shot, Corner Wine Bar (serving Amber Hill Wines), and Budweiser (hosting two beer tents).
The Taste of Broad Ripple will also feature live music sponsored by Radio Now 93.1, including Stacie Orrico, Lucy Woodward, and DF Dub.
The Vogue and Patio will sponsor local talents Dave & Rae and Zanna-Doo. Additional entertainment to be announced.
Admission
Tickets may be purchased for $4 in advance at any Union Federal location, or $5 the day of the event.
Children will be admitted for $2, or $1 in advance.
Strollers are free.
Shuttle Service
Free Park-N-Ride Shuttles will run every 10 minutes from the following locations: Glendale Mall North/East Lot, Park Tudor School 71st Street Lot, and Broad Ripple Park South Lot.
Volunteers Welcome
Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, free admission, and $5 spending cash.
Two-hour shifts available.
