: The clock is ticking. : The pots are already simmering. : Wives have been sent to the Walgreen's for Pepcid... : The Freemasons invite you to the Third Annual Broad Ripple Lodge Chili Cook Off! : Saturday, October 25th. : Festivities, tasting and taunting begins at 6:00PM : A fabulous array of prizes have been acquired and will be awarded in as many categories as the Chili Committee deigns to make up - but the TRUE prize goes to the Best Chili. The winner's name will be emblazoned on the suitably bilious Scarlet Pepper Cup where it will gloat in glory at all of us forever in its permanent place of honor in the Lodge. : If you are entering this Great Game of Gastronomical Gladiators, bring your personal concoction in a crock pot with enough for twenty or so brave souls to taste. The Lodge will supply the dining accouterments. If you will be attending with an entry, please sent an e-mail to our junior Warden Todd Ebbert at : EbbertTodd@aol.com : so our Knife & Fork Committee can be certain to have enough supplies (plates, forks, Beano...) : Props, sound effects and shameless publicity aids are NEVER frowned upon and can frequently help to improve the voting for an otherwise limp entry.
