I grew up in Nora in the 60s, but spent a lot of time in BR. My father grew up in BR. I am the Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandson of Robert Earl. All my childhood memories of BR center around my Grandmother, Helen Earle who lived at 6326 Broadway from the 1920s until she died in 1980.

Some memories: Walking with my Grandmother to the Hooks Drug store to buy candy. Seeing movies at the Vogue. Spending allowance money at G C Murphy's on the Ave. Going to church every Sunday at BR United Methodist. David Letterman bagging groceries at the Atlas. Walking to Krogers. Putting pennies on the Monon tracks.

Both my mother and father graduated from BRHS in 1943. My mother worked at the Burger Basket at the corner of BR Ave and Guilford. Swimming at the Rivvy. I could go on and on. Does anyone have information on the Burger Basket?
