: Max,
: There are no real boundaries, but some would consider Broad Ripple to go from Kessler Blvd on the south to the White River on the north to Central Ave on the west to Broad Ripple Park on the east. When most people refer to "Broad Ripple" they mean a much larger area. I live at 58th and Broadway, but consider it Broad Ripple.

Basil:
I believe the Town boundaries were abot what Alan said; although the southern corporate limits of Broad Ripple did run south to about 52nd Street (say, west of College to the Monon tracks) in about 1914/5; then the City of Indianapolis annexed up to about 51st Street, leaving a block-wide "no-man's land " in between; then the City started annexing northward, west of College Avenue (at one time Light Street, after Dr. light); beginning to "parallel" Broad Ripple to the west. No annexations were going north east of the Monon tracks yet, except for maybe the relocated State Fair Gorunds and Deaf School. Then, as we all know, Indianapolis finally absorbed Braod Ripple in 1922. That's about what I THINK happened, anyway. So yes, Alan, you really would live in "Broad Ripple" (that area that I suppose is now called "South Ripple or Village", which really WAS part of the Town, although al ter annexation).
